New morning, new format....
Come on Record Industry! Stop complaining you aren't doing very well at the moment and start waking up to the fact that people are bored with the same old bullshit!!!! All you do is churn out manufactured Pop drivel a la Winehouse wannabees (Duffy etc) and Girls Aloud who would be more suited to singing covers at Butlins Holiday Camp than winning a Brit Award (heard them moaning that they've never won one - yeah, I'm serious....) and complain CD's are dead and blah blah blah. Well, chuck that scratched record in the bin and get on with something new and exciting for people to get interested in. I.E. GO BACK TO THE DAYS WHEN YOU GAVE A SHIT about Music, Art and QUALITY. I don't want to download anything off itunes any more. Apart from being convenient it's got sweet FA else going for it and I like to have something have and to hold. ;-) Most importantly re all this Mp3 itunes bollocks is the quality is crap, yes, it may be suitable for train or car journeys or hotel rooms but not good enough for home listening. So. What I want is something sleek and sexy and top quality with room for a decent bit of photography or artwork included. Something in between a CD and a record perhaps. AND I want some real, proper artists that sincerely give a toss about what they do making the records that go on them. There is a market bigger than the "entertainment" one which is why people buy classic Pop records such as Bowie, Smiths, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, Motown and Reggae albums in the millions so SORT IT OUT.... GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!
