100 Club.
I was reading on another Musician's (I think one that played with the lovely Helen Clough - AKA Cloughy) page today from last week stating that he was going to fulfill every musician's dream on Saturday and play at the 100 Club. I couldn't have put this better myself. I have sang at the 100 club a couple of times with delightful London lads Long Tall Shorty, but nothing could have filled me with more pride than gracing the legendary stage by myself with my own band. What a thrill!
It had been a tough week (few weeks actually), and I was majorly suffering with the lergie that I have to admit frightened the living ones out of me as I couldnt actually sing at our rehearsal earlier that day, nothing was coming out!!!!

After 12 hours of "it will be all right tonight it will be alright tonight" on repeat in my head like a scratched record and after a spectacularly rubbish day generally best forgotten we arrived at the venue. Only to walk in to my favourite place in London and see straight away a person in the venue who I can only conclude has a rather unhealthy and remarkably odd fascination/obsession with me, my life and my teens. (Of course my flipping boobs are real by the way, these Jelly Babies are an effort to strap in!) Not the greatest omen for the night ahead.
Anyway, a few tears later backstage and a last minute arrival wardrobe nightmare that accentuated my swollen tummy,Taylor, Adie, newbie Joel and Sharron Slutt herself took to the beloved stage and had a really great fun time. The crowd were amazing, happy, bouncy, and many made the effort to wear pink which was a real treat for me. SO, onwards and upwards from here on in, I just have to thank my band - you were all fantastic without exception, and everyone who showed up to support us and helped me to overcome my woes for a great night that I won't forget, ever.
Thanks to all the new fans who were first timers and expressed their gratitude (you ladies know who you are) - I was really touched by your kind compliments and the fact that I might have inspired any of you even remotely, I coulda hanged my mike up after Saturday and felt happy I'd done what I set out to do with this Music malarkey in the first place but I wont because we got other shops to Rock, starting with the lovely PURE RAWK Music awards in February where I've been shortlisted as frontperson of the year - blush!. You may want to hurry up and get your cheap tickets (its only 5 quid) if you fancy it as the tickets are going like hotcakes. I have a few on me which I will be carrying to various gigs I'm at this weekend (will post info later) if anyone would like to take part! Lotsalove you glorious pink punks and princesses! :-)

PS - Ive been meaning to do this for two months now also....Another person I've seriously missed all damned winter, my favourite partner in crime Mr Strutter (AKA Paul Kaye) is apparently putting on an impressive performance up in Stratford for the "Matilda" show. Im going to try and get some returns as it's all sold out and you should too if you can, it finishes on the 30th, here's the link....
