I have, it has to be said - even at 1.47 a.m. - just HAD to switch my diary on and pop on to write about tonight's experience.
I've had a f***ing crap, rubbish, tough and stressful week. (Some good bits but now you know why I've been awol....) Thanks to this diary, (having a public whinge aint always a bad thing) my groans resulted in a last minute ticket to see the wee purple superstar who holds and gropes tightly a very very special place in my heart. Prince. My GOD the man has it. "IT" is an understatement. He is the embodiment of all things fabulous. On my "life list" now only four things remain. I made it when I was little. In my head. The list. Youv'e probably got one no? Send it to me if so..... I'm nosey....
One of the things I planned to do before I died was own a Gibson Les Paul, (done) one was to get on stage and perform (done), one was to own one 'o them mirrors with lights all around it what the stars have (done), one was to live in a castle I shall build a moat around (still on list), one was to have some stairs I could sit at the top of and press a button and they go flat when someone is on the way up (listed), the others I wont go into right just now cos I'm very tired and they might not make sense and one was definitely to see Prince perform. Tonight, I did Prince. Or shall I say, Prince "did" me. What a fantastic bloody show. It was truly amazing. If you can do, then do it man. It's your last damn chance. 21 nights and that's our lot. I swear it will be worth the money and trek down south. WOW!!!! That was fabulous. Oh. Slight amendment here - I forgot, one of the "list" specials was to have a gold star on my door with my name on, so thinking about it there might be slightly over four left. Not bad going though considering I'm still a babber. Tonight's legend is in his damn 40's and jeez did he rock! Amazing! Ooooooh err. Anyway, cheered up I am. Back I am. Lotsalove, I may lay my head down and rest my big cheesy grinned boat on it's silken pillow and hope to wake in half the mood I retire in. Thanks to you, Prince. Night night. XXXX
