Rachel Stevens, former singer of all smiling manufactured pop band "S club 7" is quoted as saying, whilst insisting on having prefferential treatment when boarding a plane in America. It's certainly not the first time I've heard a similar tale. Popstars after a few pats on the back eh?

Even with being greeted by a personal escort who laid out a red carpet for my return to London the other day I havent quite got the ticket of being snooty just yet. Best get practised as I'm not sure how newsworthy I am in my current state. No plastic surgery, no falling out of cars showing me rude bits, no romps with footballers or rock and roll stars, no bitchy banter with those of the lesser talented plastic pop star variety. (see - I could start....;-))
Having decent music just aint exciting these days. I must work harder at being a pop star. So. Starting today, it's off to the studio. I'm already four hours late and Iv'e been moaning all morning which is not a bad start....I'll see what trouble I can muster up.
Football season fixtures arrived today. I notice Arsenal have a hefty run toward the end again - fairly similar to last year's. Ha! Changing the subject completely, there is a pathetic song on TV where they have yet again (yawn) tried to make somebody who is quite obviously NOT a rock and roll singer look like she IS a real rock and roll singer....(you know - heavily produced - raunchy outfit - swift editing - "rocker" styled backing band, lots of hairspray....blah de blah.) The lyrics are so poor that David my nephew and I ended up with gobs open for most of it in shock. The last line is a killer! - something about fake your tan, get a man, but wait, this is a classic......."Join a gym, you'll never die...."
Perhaps I could go and shoot the writer, producers, record label exec's, stylist and video director responsible for it - give 'em summit to write about. Right. I best move this grumpy backside and put my troubles in a track. See ya later. X
