Isn't it Lovely when people actually are the real deal? It's funny, because over the years I've thought a lot of the notion that it's better not to meet your heroes or people you admire because they aren't normally all they are cracked up to be and you can be dissapointed. Often fair point in my experience - A certain extremely popular supermodel who is a grumpy spot faced twat in the flesh, (no surprises then - apart from the spots) and I was WELL gutted when I met a certain famous footballing genius in the player's lounge who put his hand immediately on my bottom when supposedly giving me the old "photo hug" and then proceeded to drive away later and bounce up and down in a provocative way whilst pulling an ugly sex face at me. I was not in the least bit impressed, in fact I was pretty upset, as I had thought he appeared a right gent of a husband to his wife... AND I'm not a star fucker and I honestly Love him for his skill with balls of the leather variety, I never thought of him as a potential bed buddy. Although, seeing recent shots of him topless at a match abroad I have started to doubt my sanity at the time............;-)
Anyway, yesterday I met Richard Branson, about which I am thrilled to pieces. Ok, don't shoot me Punks but I've always liked him, he seems a great bloke. I stayed in his gaff in Africa a few years ago which was amazing, and did a shoot in his hotel in Morrocco in the mountains which I adored too, and I just like the fact he started off with sod all and did so well by using his noose and Love of Music, blahblahblah.... I know he is a tycoon/global brand owner rah rah rah, I hear you say, what? Miss opinionated hippy.... not someone you'd expect on my list eh? Anyway, he does do commendable things to put things back wherever he goes, like setting up projects to help local farming communities and looking after the land and preserving it, which is a damn lot more than most mega companies do. Most people get rich and famous by being mean and ruthless, but not RB, who is a lovely, humble bloke to boot. Great stuff. I rEally enjoyed my day yesterday (playing guitar at the launch party - yep - making engine revving sounds!!) Loved it. Anyway, I'll shut up now. Must eat to aid swift recovery of over indulgence. Inabit! XXXX
