Dri-i-i-ive in Saturday.......

All together now............come on girls and boys, it's Saturday, get Aladin Sane out and do the right thing. Speaking of doing the right thing.... I just popped on not only to read the Arsenal pre match gumph but also to write about something very important to me. Afraid I gotta hit, literally, the old soap box this morning.

I'd like to think most people reading this would be fairly sound and might find this list useful. It's been a wee while since I last checked out the lists of which companies still indulge in animal testing which I am firmly against....there is NO need! It is proven as far as I have gathered that we are NOT the same as those animals, therefore what they stick in chimps and rats and rabbits eyes and bodies has no reasoning as it would have a different effect anyway. Also, if you can do it without caging and killing innocent creatures then why still do it? I know you are probably sick to death of lists and statistics and no go areas but this one is close to my heart, and as much as I hate to tell people what I think they should be doing, here is not that difficult a way to avoid indulging companies who do it. So, politely, here go a few obvious brands you might well be using without realising they still test on animals.. I made some of the most popular or well known ones big and bold like myself. ;-)

L’Oréal (U.S.A.) (Biotherm, Cacharel, Garnier, Giorgio Armani, Helena
Rubinstein, Lancôme, Maybelline, Ralph Lauren
perfumes, hairdresser's favourite Redken and Vichy)

Johnson & Johnson (Aveeno, Clean & Clear, Listerine, Lubriderm, Neutrogena)
Proctor and Gamble (Max Factor, Pantene, Oral B, Playtex products, Olay, Oil of Olay products)

Clairol (Aussie hair products, Daily Defense, Herbal Essences - that's me guilty without realising!)

And two unfortunate very common makes you could well, boys, I know most of you at least indulge here ;-) and might buy are Palmolive and Colgate so try to pick others if you can help it. Girls, if you can afford it - I know it is an expensive shop but if I can I try and buy make up and beauty products from Space NK (Nars, Laura Mercier, Ren, Aromatherapy Associates, Khiels etc) because they definitely don't stock any brands that use animal testing, which makes it far easier to shop without having to research.

Right, back to the music. What is it about David Bowie. He's wicked eh? An unusual character but so fabulous. I'd Love to know more about him. There has to be a biography knocking around that's worth reading. UP THE GUNNERS! Football is upon me, see you later.... XXXX
