DOES THE WORLD NEED ANOTHER INDIE BAND?

Ooooh Tim Walker the future is bright, yes sir E a change is a comin! Re; his article in the otherwise boring Independent on Sunday; he did me proud. With some cool statements dropped in from Andrew Collins (ex NME and Q) I think it's the first time anyone other than my joyous self has had a good old whine about the state of the British music scene in it's relentless pursuit of knocking out more and more idendikit indie bands, all hitting the stage and tiring my eardrums to the point of me no longer blinking nor even bothering to expend energy complaining, as often, more time propped up at the bar in the pursuit of gaining potential liver damage is a far more exciting prospect than enduring yet more tight trousers, floppy fringes and endless minutes of "boy guitar" edged nothingness....(Yes, I had the displeasure of gaining an eyeful of the "Wombats" who hit the MAIN stage before Morrissey at the Wireless....yawn).

Yup, a few more nods from folk in that forward direction and before we know it, the world of Music will once more be filled with bands and artists not afraid to don a bit of old fashioned glamour and play music and sing songs from the heart, hopefully with a positive message attatched. I.E. yours truly, ;-D.

Mr Walker, expect one truly exciting debut record on your desk this september.

Carry on....
