THE ARSENAL CAR!

  • Oh, i forgot to post this. What a wonderful car!!!! Bring on the new season - glad the boys won yesterday.... :-D

Monday.

Hello petals. Tis I. Back from the land of moody and in much better shape. Thank you so much for the cheery mail! You are a lovely lot. Simon in particular - what a cute email! :-) Special thanks to rubbergirl et Giles for a wicked 24 hour day out yesterday - t'was fabuloso. And Mr Danny Dyer you are blinding. Lovely stuff.... Back to work today, although I have to admit I'm not entirely with it, my head has seen far better states....
Anyone seen Transformers yet? I still havent but I can't wait. Oooooh and another exciting thing is that Daft Punk (in my top ten all time faves) have made a film!!!! Woooohoooooo. It's about two robots on a mission to become human. Can't wait for that, it's looking good.... Prince up next! After our gig of course on August the 10th.... hope you wonderful lot are coming along - enjoyed you last time. I'm tempted to film ya.... :-D
Right. Bit of work for me - I'm counting the hours til Eastenders at eight. See, I ain't that cool man................

Well. The sunshine is out to play....

Kind of....
The weather has perked up a little today and I think it's trying to tell me something. I'm going to prize myself out of the house for a little walk down the Belly. Portobello Road is not far and I might find something nice. Benjy's idea - I'm taking your advice for once thankyou! I'm not off to Highbury myself today, I don't feel up to it - so enjoy, those of you who go!
Laters, enjoy the weekend! X

NAFFED OFF.

Yeah, that's me. Your ever so happy all smiles pop tart is in a jam.

Ok, alright - so I aint your sugar coated pop tart after all. Maybe I am always a moaner. I do my best to keep my chin up and try to be pleasant, but today I just cannot be bothered. What's the point? Iv'e got no cheery stuff to stick in this diary, it's all bollocks. I'm well narked. Sometimes you just work and you plot and you plan and you try and try and you keep smiling and doing positive stuff and nothing seems to happen does it. You know the score. It's friday flipping night and I've sat here getting square eyes all the damned day long and what for? Sweet FA. I should be out dancing or smiling and hugging someone or something like that. I'm young, I'm free and I'm certainly not a boring bloody git but here I am, sat here with head on desk doing absolutely nuffink. Iv'e been toying with the idea of going out to a club or something to entertain myself and have a break but I havent quite got the balls to go out and do it. Don't ask why because I just dunno and I can't answer that. I suppose I could do it but Iv'e got all this paranoia about going out on my own and having a stupid accident or having my drink spiked or something stupid like that so I don't feel I ought to go. Suppose I do try and trust my gut and it's yelling no at me. So here I am, stopping in and revelling in this self inflicted pit of misery like a greedy non climbing wingless insect in a jam jar. Fuck it.

That's it is it? Just me and the odd bank robber?? I dont bloody believe it. TWO percent?? Come on girls - restore my faith in modern glamour....

COME ON LADIES! Oh, and erm, well, any stocking wearers....

The ass has now fallen out (probably bad choice of phrase) of the sales of stockings. I read this devastatingly sad and worrying news today in the newspaper. Apparently with the rise in fashion of tights and "leggings" - sorry - but leggings should NEVER have been allowed into fashion - no not even the first time round....stocking sales make up only TWO percent of hosiery sales in the UK.
Being a proud part of that two percent - an avid stocking/hold up and good old bare leg fan who NEVER wears tights - and as for leggings - well - I have one rubber pair and one patent pair - neither of which finish half way up my shins, so they are'nt exactly leggings - they could pass as trousers. Sorry girls, but it is just NOT a good look. Leggings suck. Always have done and always will do. Do'nt listen to what any old "fashion" pratt or "moody bloke trying to make you cover up" tries to tell you - leggings ain't cool, and never, ever will be. They look frumpy and naff and totally unflattering on anybody over about 10. Skirts over leggings should definitely not be legal. Sod all this banning people from smoking - what about people parading the streets freely in leggings and ra-ra skirts?
Unless you are of course dressing as a pumpkin or something equally distasteful for a night out around 31st of October which you could be JUST about let off for - such items should be well and truly avoided at all times. You know it.
Bring back stockings I say. You KNOW they're the best. They are sexy, comfortable and flattering. What more do you want? And so starts my campaign. Goodnight.

Bye bye Freddie....

  • In came the messages one by one.... the funniest being from a hardcore Gooner girl mate - when I let my roars be heard at the departure of Freddie Ljungberg for West Ham,

"No eye candy on the team anymore. We're actually gonna have to watch the football now!"

Ha. Anyway.... bye bye Freddie babes - you've hardly had the greatest season but you are still just fabulous.

I'm a busy wee bee this week - plenty for me to do - music's going good. Nightynight....XXXX

Yeeeeeeeeehhhhhaaaaw!

Saturday avo

Greetings from the wild wild west. It's Blondie here.
That's it mate. I'm bored of the lack of glamour round these parts. I'm heading off on horseback for a bit of bodice ripping gunslinging action. Iv'e decided I want to live in a western for a bit. I love them I do and I'm so sick of my neaighbours and I want space. Plenty in the desert and I can have a bit of land. I might have to buy some and build a kind of film set as there probably isn't much of a wild west left. My wicked plan is to open a saloon with the mighty Taylor as my exotic sidekick. Ennio Morriccone shall provide the soundtrack (of course), Robby, Adie and Ed can prop up the bar in their time off from looting and shooting people. And I'm going to ride round the local villages taunting local unsuspecting cowboys who I shall lure back to the saloon before suffocating them with my deadly weapons. It's going to be wonderful. I'm off to plan our costumes now. After washing up. Back soon. XXXX

BT ROCKS.....

Good old British Telecom. One of the few companies that never give me shit. They have never tried to bombard me with new sales blarney, unreasonable bills or put me on the phone to an Asian call centre or played ghastly supermarket music down my earhole for ever and ever whilst I'm held in a queue for service. And they always send round nice engineers.
Iv'e been out of the pit for some time now. 7.45 to be precise. That's when my BT engineer phoned to say he was on the way. Ok, so the timing wasn't perfect, but at least they offered to actually come out and sort my problem fairly quickly and without a big charge or a fight. Grumpy as I was, my engineer turned out to be a lovely sort. Iv'e always like BT men. Thumbs up boys! This one came to the inevitable conclusion (flat covered in guitars, plectrums, records and microphone leads is a slight giveaway) that I was in a band, which led to a wicked conversation about old music v new music. Turned out he had seen the Sex Pistols in their hey day. "I weren't a punk tho. Oh no, not me.....me mates was but I never jumped on any bandwagon - people don't seem to able to like summink wivout copyin each over like sheep...."
Fabulous. Gone are the days says Mr BT when you go round to a person's place and they speak your language and even give you a cup of tea and a smile. Long gone. He was apparently given one drink ONCE two years ago from a chinese student, which resulted in a nasty car crash that left him in hospital nearly dead as it was heavily drugged. What a life. Anyway. Iv'e had a fairly productive day for once and it's still not late. Luckily people still think my phone is out of order so it hasn't started ringing and Iv'e managed to wade through a few emails that have been sitting there unanswered for time....(apologies if yours was one of them ;-O)
I'm trying to finish off a few new tracks before I hit the studio for some recording tomorrow. Robbie's off to Italia now for two weeks so we'll have our usual last minute scramble for rehearsals just before the tenth of August gig at the blessed Dublin Castle. Hope its in your diarys as it promises to be a good'un!
Right. Job number four - I'm off to the bastardo bank to try and reclaim some more unneccesary charges.... Look mate, you don't seem get it - there's NO f***ing money in there - right? So stop f***ing asking me for more, you thieving monkeys. Ah, the joy....
Much Love, adios for now. XXXX

BRIGHTON ROCKS!

One lil picture taken on a balcony from my fantastic trip to Brighton. Oooooooooh I LOVE Brighton. Sunshine, seagulls, clubs, ice cream, seaside - it's almost too much for a girl....
Anybody going down for a night or day out ever ever ever - let lil old me know!
XXXX
*Oh, my hat there was made by the fabulous Jamie Kenny of Fear and Loathing - special thanks for that and I promise to give it back, although it's a worthy steal. :-D.

Lazy sunday afternoon....

Got no mind to worry, close my eyes and drift away....
Wish I was doing that but the line most suited to me at this point is "wouldnt it be nice to get on with my neighbours...." Ha! The bastardos....
Iv'e had an okay lazy weekend after my busy week. I managed to squash in three shoots so new pics coming up soon.... really looking forward to our next gig in August (Dublin Castle - my favourite venue) - I may be doing a little acoustic slot before then on a songwriter friend's night so will post the details of that when I sort it out - which reminds me - get well soon Wayne!
(
http://www.fitandtheconniptions.com/) Wayne has been in hospital with an abcess in his THROAT! Man that is grim. Scary....Not good for anyone but even more ghastly for a singer.... Speedy recovery to you my dear.... :-(
Right. I'm off to ze boudior for some beauty sleep. Adeui my lovelies. XXXX

OI OI BONBONS!

It's me! I'm back. Slightly turbulent landing I have to say, but hey, life's not easy is it.

Back very soon, in fact perhaps later as I'm only busy looking through a few of the new images with a pot noodle in hand. Oh what an exciting Friday night. Happy weekender all, :-).

OI OI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello. Me. Gordon Brown brings back the flag I hear. I'm all up for celebrating and being proud of my country, but lets hope he helps build one we can proud of, rather than using it as a cheap old stunt to win votes.
I had a great weekend - Peter's party was fabulous as per usual - music provided by me old Croydon mates which was lurrverly - really different. Sunday I had another visit from the Babylon but it was the cool kind - and yes - they do exist after all. :-O
Right. Few gig photos up next - courtesy of Paul Griew (thankyou very much) - I'll dig out some more when I get a chance. I'm all busy preparing myself and my wardrobe for a two day shoot in Brighton which I leave for tomorrow. ~New pics coming soon when I FINALLY get to upload some new galleries!
Lotsalove folks/ettes. Soon.... XXXX

Oh saturday.

Aye aye folks. T'is I again. Had a lovely girly night with Anna last night. You know - just a bit of boy bash chat and a few plans for world domination - nowt unusual but rather fun. It's great to laugh and we did aplenty last night.
Thankyou so much for your email thoughts re; management - and offers!!!! Wow! I wasn't really expecting anyone to have a clue but all ideas shall be followed up shortly, great stuff thankyou! In the meantime it's party time tonight and I'm off out to the seaside do at Peter's in Camden - anybody in the area tonight would be welcome if you give us a shout this avo.... live music provided by Dan Camilch and perhaps yours truly if I can manage a half decent wiggle....
I realised only yesterday when lying down some final touches to "Radio" over at Panic just how much I wiggle when I sing, as with my sore back it wasn't easy. Try standing still and singing - it's not easy. The track sounds fabulous though and I may even have a rethink on which song I release first.... I'm working on a new B side this afternoon.
I also just watched the video of last week's gig - it was great fun and you lot down the front looked great on film, so thankyou for coming again! Great taste. Mwah!!
Right - I'm off out to pick up tonight's outfit - hope your weekends are going well, I'll be back soon - hopefully not hungover.... ;-) XXXX

Any ideas on management?

Right, I know I have super powers and all, and yeah, Iv'e come a mighty long way without one, and you may think I'm a right old bossy boots and wouldn't want one, but it's not the case, and is now definitely high time for me to find myself management. I'm exhausted and do not wish to have any further conversations with record companies or such like peoples - someone else is going to have to do my dirty work! Iv'e never actively seeked a manager until recently, but have had more than a few approach me over the last few years - some big ones too - but none have yet fit the bill - i.e. few have seen past my super lady sexy powers and have got too carried away trying to get their end away to be able to talk sense. Come on boys!!

SO. If anybody has any ideas, or even knows of a manager they have come across or perhaps read about that sounds like they might be worth checking out, I'd appreciate you letting me or them know. Preferably one that has a great track record, and is either female, gay, or male and able to keep willy in pants at inappropriate moments. ;-p

The general advice when seeking a manager is to think of any bands you like or artists that have done things you respect and then chase theirs. I tried looking up old Morrissey's but he erm, appears to have had quite a few so I wouldn't know where to start on that one. So any bands you can think of that I like, remind me will ya??! I'm all plebnobbed out after my sleepy few days and I need someone to think for me.

Right. Speaking of sleep - I'm not saying I'm sick of it you know............ :-D Nightnight.

Wonderful Wednesday Afternoon....

Well, we are headed for evening time now but I still feel a little slow and havent been up that long.
Hi folks. Tis me. I'm here. Up at last. I tried to make this week not start - and so far Iv'e spent most of it in my pit. (Its a very beautiful pit you know....) I'm looking very much forward to a nice quiet weekend spent on my lonesome.
Loved the gig on Friday, very much, but the weekend was like a huge and at times very frightening rollercoaster, so come Monday Tuesday and today, I havent yet felt like doing a right lot and have cancelled what threatened to be a fairly heavy schedule for the week.
The hectic weekend ended with a bang, with a visit from the bloody Babylon, as my ever so pleasant neighbour whom I'm sure I've unfortunately already had to mention on here has finally came out in style and threatened to slit my throat. I know, the charm eh? Half racist - half sexually frustrated - yawn - the boy is just an all round diamond of an embarresment to mankind. Anyway, lets hope my wee visit from the local police will keep things quiet for a while. Shame, what a shame. Life is just too short for all the fighting man. Too short and far too precious.
Which brings me back to Friday. A massive cheers to my crew from the Valleys!! Turning into quite a Welsh following for Miss Ceinwen! :-D I had a great time and it was nice to see such lovely folk there. We all cant wait for the next one in August at the Dublin Castle - my little home spot! Love that venue.
Also, a massive thankyou for all the sweet and charming messages from everyone re the gig - as I say, it really is my pleasure to sing for such a lovely lot, so I feel I should be thanking you. Stop it!! ;-)

Anyway, back to reality it is - half way into recovering, I get back in the studio on Friday to stick some new material down for the next gig, and my shop - wooohoooooo! which you should be able to buy from come August.... given the web folk keep on target of course, which is not always easy! I just stopped half way through watching Steve McQueen in "Bullit", so I'm back off to bed to catch the second half of that downright amazing soundtrack.... inabit honeys, Iv'e got plenty more to say so I'll be back 'ere shortly.... Monday morning.... :-(

Oh crikey. Well, what an eventful few days. I'm not sure I even have enough energy to write right now so I think I'll lie down a bit longer and try again later!!!!
Just really a quick thankyou to those of you who did make it down to the gig on Friday - I always have a lovely crowd to play to and you certainly didn't dissapoint the other night. Double thanks for coming despite the tube nightmares - I was a bit annoyed in a very selfish way because it's the second time it has happened on a gig day and we were supposed to be the only bomb going off! They're out to get me.... ;-)
Anyway, had a really fun night, special thanks to Anna and the Blackbird she stole the feathers for my eyes from....laters!! XXXX
