Ahoy me hearties!
How's thee?
Very well I hope. It's been a mad old week at this end, hence no
diary updates! I can
proudly say I've done sweet F.A. and Loved every minute of it. Even my escapades
on Hampstead Heath which have resulted in four mosquito bites and some serious
scratches and bruises. May I suggest no paddling in lakes at 3 a.m.? Rock and
Roll baby, it's the only way to live!
I went out to
the Opera on Saturday after a slightly shabby day at the Arsenal. I'm fed up
with the new stadium. I've got a miserable old sod behind me who keeps swearing
at me to sit down and had my own Arse grabbed by a little moron....another one
spent the entire game making loud and boring announcements on the loud speaker.
At least Arsene Wenger is on the case. Ahhhh, those Highbury days.....
My weekend was topped off with a
little visit to the Opera to see a show about Colonel Gaddafi. Yeah, the opera.
Not my usual type of affair but the music was by Asian Dub Foundation and it was
really quite fabulous in a funny kind of way. Some duff old lyrics I must admit
but the sound was altogether amazing, as usual. Fine band indeed. I must be the
only person giving it a good review as it has been slated by the press. I guess
I forget how laughing is very out of fashion these days.
Anyway. Onwards
and upwards we go. I am still in the middle of the almighty boring chore of
doing paperwork and getting set for the release of my first record which is as
many of you may well know, an almighty upheaval. Jeez, it's taken me enough
time! I promise some Lovely goodies to stuff in your stockings in time for
Christmas!
In my week of
slovenly behaviour however, I did stumble on an interesting fact. Having been
told that my name, Kiria,
meant "Goddess" in Greek mythology, a rather fulfilling find, I wrote my name
down to see what it would be as an anagram. Only to find that it is "I NICE
WANKER". hmm. Worked yours out yet?
Back to work for moi....;-)
