Schwienehunds!

Ah well, there we have it. My prediction was Italy France
for the final. Well, after we left the game. :-(

So, come on Thierry, get those golden boots on and do
your finest. Put Ronaldo back in his place. In the stable. Occcchhh. It's a game
in't it?

I had a gorgeous weekend away. Apart from the one hundred
and twenty minutes of sheer stress I endured on Saturday watching England v
Portugal that is. Oh stop it. I don't feel I want to discuss that just yet. Even
though it's well and truly over. Bloody football.

Anyway, my Mum hatched three babby chicks. She's been
guarding these eggs for some time now. Turning them over in this little
incubator. Finally some popped out. Beautiful little creatures they are.. So
Lovely!

The first being extremely blonde and pretty has so far
spent it's entire existence pecking either the feed left for it or the other two
chicks has earned the name "Peckham". Number two, being the tallest with the
longest legs, quite unsure of itself on it's shaky little pins has taken to
using the wall of it's pen to rest his little bottom against, spends all day in
a kind of crouching position. Hence being christened "Crouch". Number three, the
black chick, by far the fastest, most nimble and elegant one of the three has
been named "Henry". My personal favourite of course, not being biased in any
way. I spent most of the weekend cheering him on and Mum intends to get him a
ping pong ball for training. You never know..

Anyhow, from the day I arrived, watching the little
blighters wobble on their newly found legs trying desperately to look up at you
without toppling over to the day I left when they were happily swanning about
waiting for some more serious action, I realised how much things grow and differ
and how quickly everything can change. Just like that. Blink and you might miss
something really special.  A simple but easy thing to remember I guess is
that when the going's good, savour every little moment if you can because you
never know when it might all be gone. I was all comfortable recently in what I
thought was a safe, warm environment. I never imagined it could have possibly
crumbled into nothing, just like that, but it did. Life is a funny old bugger.
Full of ups and downs. Luckily of late I'm even starting to enjoy and appreciate
what can come out of the downs. When I'm in the lonely "I don't connect with
anyone I'll always be alone" type moods. Although they can be pretty hairy and I
don't enjoy them one bit when I am in them of course....You just keep battling
on and pray for the best outcome most of the time, which when it comes is
wonderful. I'm moving on in my career, a lot of people gain a whole lot of
inspiration and happiness out of the things I create.....you know, things could
be a lot worse.

I'm
waffling. Its hot. I am tired. It's been a long day and there lies another in
front of me so I guess I'll get off now. Hit the sack. Up the golden trail. Bleugh.
