Oh I Love Harrow Road.
I have just been for a walk along the
delightful Harrow Road. I'm not sure there is any other place quite like it in
London. You should check it out. I normally find that if one finds oneself in a
little slump, a little walk down there usually proves useful for some
inspiration or perhaps even entertainment. People watching at it's finest,
I tell ya. Especially in the post office. Anyway, eventually, after popping in
the bank for some more pennies, stuffing my face with a big sticky bun and
earwigging some old folk's convo's in the chemist, today I finally found a wee
dose after deciding to buy myself something nice and colourful.... Some great
British daffodils were the plan. I popped in this little food/ wine/ everything
type store that sold flowers but decided they were perhaps looking a little
peaky. The daffs were still closed, so I sifted through them for a decent
looking bunch before realising on close inspection that none had any water at
all. The buckets were all dry.
I called the owner over and alerted
him of this fact only to be greeted with a bemused look. Scratching his head,
ooh no he said, they aren't meant to be in water, you are supposed to take
them home and put them in it....
