HIP HIP, Toure!
Good morning
girls and boys. Another success for Arsenal
yesterday in the Champions League, at home to Villa Real, who really should have
arrived in a big boat to carry all those divers. Yesterday was one of the tenser
days of late all round I think.... so nice to get a win to top a slightly trying
couple of days in my case. Thank you Arsene.
I had a shoot in the day time, from
which I shall follow with some photographs at some point.. so I rushed from it
straight over to Highbury to get a pint in my favourite pub before taking my pew
and cheering the lads on. The last evening I shall ever spend at Highbury before
our move to Ashburton grove.  An unusual but quite charming visitor showed
up for this game! Suddenly spotted running across the pitch with some less
offensive nuts than the usual type was the arrival of this little grey squirrel
who entered the ground and proceeded to run up and down looking terrified. Cue
30 thousand people chanting "the squirrel is a Gooner!". The nail biting torment
of having to watch the game whilst praying the poor little blighter didn't get
stepped on and squashed went on for quite some time before Bobby Pires finally
kicked the ball out of play and all the players come over in a group and
escorted the little one to safety. What a relief!
So it's villa Real away next, on the
day I have booked my Highbury tour which should be fun. I cant wait to step foot
on that pitch! And thankfully the day has come where I will be able to without
stripping off and getting arrested for it. (Although, if boredom strikes....)
I also yesterday finally listened to
the latest Morrissey record! "The Ringleader of the Tormentors", which is
fantastic I am delighted and relieved to say! And it's at number one! I played
it four times yesterday which is most unusual for me and any record. It's well
produced, the music sits beautifully with his voice, the tunes are slightly less
commercial than those on the last album which kind of suits the mood....and he
hasn't lost any of the slightly morose, wailing charm that I have become so
warmly accustomed to over the years....There was me worrying about his new found
state of happiness. He's still the man. Good on you Moz. Life IS a pigsty, and
on that note I better clear up, its rather shocking in here....
